The Call of Life

There is a force
hiding inside the seed
almost invisible, inert
Until receiving the call to live
What does it need to awaken
Light, the harbinger of life
Water, the essence of life
Soil, nurturing life
Cradling the fragile
yet so incredibly strong
tiny being, the seedling

So it starts unfolding
according to nature’s plan
there is this strong longing
To come to life
Unfold the inner plan
Into this world
To bath in light
Reaching out into space
What is the purpose
Of it all

Is it to be
Maybe feed the bees
Butterflies and birds
The myriads of tiny beings
Even the humans
Without ever judging
If we deserve it or not
The devotion to life itself
Perpetuating life
Only to leave as a gift
To this world
The seeds

Children of the next generation
The purpose to unfold itself
The hidden longing for light
Embedded in the soil
Nurtured by water
To live in communion
To exist and live
And let life
Unfold
Itself
